I’ve teamed up in my first writing collaboration with the fabulous Lovelynice.co.uk, picking out our favourite trend this A/W, I’ve been seeing a hella lot of mini skirts and chelsea boots flying around, which makes me a very happy girl, see my 60’s inspired ootd here! Everything from the music, to the culture and of course the fashion have had heavy influence on society today and our perspective on particular what women could wear, the dresses and skirts got shorter and the the decade got colourful.
Here I’ve put together both day and night looks transcending one item to carry you through the transitional period, in this case the classic white chelsea boot, I’m hoping to snatch these booties in a heart beat the second my student finance is in. Whilst remaining simplistic with classic patterning to keep in time with the cuts, and stylings of today I loved this duster coat from Monki and lastly complimented with the textures of leather, patent and some oversized lollipop sunglasses.
I feel this season evening wear is much more muted, last year we saw vibrant hues and deeply saturated textures, now it’s muted golds, powder blues and dusty pinks. I couldn’t complete this A/W look without a Flutch (fluffy clutch) which I have been obsessed with since their arrival at London Fashion Week. Each piece reflects the modern twists on the 60s, and Lovelynice.co.uk has completed a makeup look to go with this, check it out here!!!!
