Me and my boyfriend realised we hadn’t been out to explore the great burger houses of Liverpool, originally going to The Attic for it’s fun, rock n roll scenery to find they do not serve food anymore, unfortunately (really fortunately) it meant we were to go to our second choice merely a 10 second walk down the road to Almost Famous, an American joint just down Parr Street which we’re now over the moon that we chose, it’s my favourite burger place to go.
I ordered a suicide burger with a Skull Island Iced Tea topped with cherries, literal suicide packed with chillies, I got hiccups on my first bite but was it delicious, but definitely not for the faint hearted. My boyfriend had a River Phoenix which looked amazing and told it tastes it too guzzled down with a pint in a tankard (nice touch) and a basket of Bacon Bacon fries between us, I’m highly impressed because every burger joint I’ve been to has presented me with a ball of grease and wet bun but Almost Famous although very generous in their portion sizes certainly deliver the quality too!
We so wish we could of stayed for desert, they all had such fun names and had such a tongue in cheek attitude towards everything, we’re saving ourselves for next time!
Highly recommend if you’re ever in Liverpool, it’s in the cooler more urban part of Liverpool, you could so easily miss it but if you like a good burger this is your calling. Check out their site here!
