Two collections, two themes from the fiery passionate hues of Daks to the embellishment and sophistication of Felder Felder, here’s this seasons collections!
DAKS
Daks dominant colour palette was of red and black, showing both men and women in a variety of textures with an overall minimalistic 60s approach, patent red and black brogues were some of my favourite accessorises to be styled with, and the abstract shapes complimented them well. The signature piece from the collection was the famous hat. The collection is evidentally inspired by London Mods with similar silhouettes and a Italian overtones, compiling a clean and simple yet regimented final look.
FELDER FELDER
The two sisters first started their brand back in 2006 they’re renowned pieces had the room at a standstill whilst jaws gawped from the ooze of sexy and nostalgic clothes graced the runway. Felder Felder had an underlying ooze of the 70s, the models hair and makeup reminded me of Woodstock, and the contrast of murky furs. Some of my favourite pieces were the elongated maxi dresses with daring and shapely cleavage, as well as a oversized medium length postbox red fur coat. Whilst others showed mesh against macro embellished sleeves and flared trousers, the overall themes show daring beauty of the body, selectively showcasing nudity in small doses yet as a pointer of liberation amongst women. Wavy fringes and effortless hair seems to be the noticeable beauty trend from this season.
Meanwhile backstage the Steam Team are busy at work, we briefly managed to snap a quick photo of them before getting back to work!
