Today saw Fashion Scout at the Freemasons Hall brimming with fresh new talent from both the Ukraine and Kazakstan, year after year always more impressed than the previous!
ANNA K
Anna’s collection is like a breathe of fresh air, it’s insanely wonderful to watch her trandscend into her own skin of a designer, this years collection celebrated big bows, abstract geometric shapes and candy colours against dark navy with textures of wool and marl patterns and finally embellished with Swarvoski crystals. Each piece looked fun, childlike and which connotes the idea that is that the collection was inspired by Hans Christian Andersons ‘Little Match Girl’
PENTATONICA
Each piece edgy, almost nautical in its colours showcasing mauves, lilac and grey displayed in an array of cashmeres, and chiffons. The relaxed appeal of each piece makes them look easy to wear teaming loose comfortable fabrics that appear formalised.
DINARA NURIAN
Last and certainly not least was Dinara Nurian, that showed a natural collection heavily featuring branches of trees in a variety of jackets and cropped top maxi dresses. My favourite were the jumpers, cotton and with forest green wool thick knit sleeves.
BACKSTAGE
Overall a really strong day, by far my favourite collection was Anna K’s, I loved the nostalgic use of bright colours, odd geometry and innocence behind each piece!
As LG the garment supplier of London Fashion Week, steaming all the clothes backstage they’ve put together a great set of highlights for all the shows I missed, check it out!
