Last week I was invited down to the Trinity Leeds Primark to see what the fuss was all about, reigning as one of the kingdoms of the north the stores get pretty fancy and the overall shopping experience is heightened, here’s a sneaky peak into some secrets we found out on our shoot!
We met up with fellow bloggers Lucinda from The Fashion Fictionary, Laura from A Forte For Fashion and Hayley from Tea Party Beauty all local girls going to their local Primark but this was a new adventure for me, having never explored the city centre before it was mesmerising to see the differences.
The visual merchandiser took us on a tour through the many departments and the ins and outs of all the high tech displays, obscure concepts and overall themes for each corner. She said they’re given a great amount of creative freedom and it definitely notices, from the surreal half bodied mannequins to the spring floral arrangement of shoes, it’s noticeable that each segment has been carefully looked into!!
Whilst roaming around we were set a series of style challenges and had a street photographer come in to take our photos for the entire day, it was immensely fun throwing around cushions, trying on hats, accessories and having a style up in the changing room!
My favourite part of the Trinity Leeds store is definitely the shoe section, we all spent quite a while gawping around the arrangements and trying on different pairs. Equally as much, I adored the home section, it provided highly affordable furnishing such as fluffy cushions, pineapple ornaments and lots of flamingos (oh yes!) my favourite item being the flamingo cushion at under £10 which is a bargain!
If you get the chance to go in, have a go at their changing rooms, they’ve been carefully designed to look alike old hollywood glamor, from the lighting to the writing on the mirror, it encourages people to upload online with the phrase ‘snap it, tag it, share it’ with free wifi availability, something I wish other shops did when I take a mirror selfie!
Whilst I had the chance I ran around spilling my shopping out the basket, this seasons range heading into summer is something that has me rather excited, the 70s trend is back which means chunky sandal heels and boho prints. My outfit for that day already channeled festival and I picked out some great pieces to see me through into winter included a aztec kimono, two small bags, one crossbody, one clutch, one large backpack (see here!) a turtle neck ribbed midi dress and striped halter neck which was my bargain of the day at £5.50 (which you can see in this post)
Overall I went home a happy Stephi with a bag full of goodies, met some amazing girls (Of which Leeds will see me a regular visitor!) and finished my day wearing a pretty fab outfit for a night out!
