I’ve never seen anyone do a fan art appreciation. It’s about bloody time.
Sometimes the artworld slows down and we take for granted the long hours that takes to create masterpieces. For instance Avatar, the graphics behind that film is outstanding and 50 years ago we didn’t have the technology to create something so beautiful you don’t think about the thousands of animators, skin texturers and colourists behind the scenes.
I’m a creative soul born and bred, one of my favourite passtimes is doing illustration work and I’m heading into my third year of a Combined Honors in Graphic Design and Photography I’m sure this speaks volumes about my dedication, appreciation and passion for art in all mediums and formats.
So today I’m gonna show you all my favourite pieces of art sent over to me.
They’re all incredible and I love how everyones medium is different. I want to encourage you guys to see these people as the next graphic designers, animators and illustrators of the world.
During times of grand artists like Leonardo Da Vinci, Van Gogh and Picasso their work wasn’t half as appreciated as it should be in the present day to tell them how wonderful it is.
I wanted this to be a platform in which the success is spread and let’s appreciate hours of drawing, colouring, tracing maybe a few hundreds cups of coffee but it came from one idea to sit down and envision it.
