Technology is our future and adapting to every day lifestyle activities has been proven easy and sophisticated with Huawei’s latest design that bridges the gap between fashion and technology.
LOCATION: BERLIN
I dashed off to Berlin to stay in the Radisson Blu, Berlin (yes that is a massive aquarium from my balcony!) for the day to see the fuss about Huawei’s smart watch, a innovative creation in technology looking after us, keeping us informed whilst looking stylish.
The campaign is quite excited with the launch of Karlie Kloss and Sean O’Pry as the faces and shot by Mario Testino, the biggest fashion photographer in the world – it’s definitely a big deal and worth finding out why!
The watches themselves are inspired by Swiss timepieces using material that represents the ideals of luxury fashion in correlation to staying connected. The fully circular display is touch sensitive but protected with scratch proof sapphire crystal and cold-forged stainless steel frame.
Huawei has designed the watch so you’re constantly in touch with every aspect of your life so you live your experiences as it assists you and not the other way round. This means you’re in touch with your calls, texts, messages and emails. The limitations of other watches haven’t had the privilege of being operable via android and IOS (Huzzah!)
The launch was held in Soho House, central Berlin (aka swankiest artsy pad for media releases) amongst the most tech savvy media during IFA the global trade show for consumer electronics. Where the presentation explained the watches beauty, functionalities and of course a try on!
For my Berlin trip I sported my Nasty Gal beaded dress, Boden leopard boots and leopard clutch and my Asos funnel coat.
After trialling out the watch it’s made me realise how much in the future we will rely on technology to inform us about all of our decisions and will be the point of contact that could potentially replace phones and tablets for its size. There’s little touches like the ability to download music for offline use that makes this watch special.
Health wise this watch is all you need to hit the ground running with the confidence of checking up on your health at any point. With features like a heart rate sensor and 6-Axis motion sensor that tracks walking, running and mountain climbing. Completely ideal for anyone maintaining their health or needing a motivational kick starter.
One of the designers Dr Sabine Seymour shows extensive knowledge about the collision between fashion and technology with a background in research of the subjects and proved that technology can integrated into any garment seamlessly without wires, as she waits for a world that will soon embrace technological advancements as part of our every day life like a downloadable dress. It’s the future of our wardrobes. See her thoughts on Our Future Wardrobe.
Imagine living in a world where you can download patterns to your garments.
The Huawei SmartWatch is available in 6 different designs from glamorous Rose Gold to sophisticated blacks and chromes.
As someone that embraces technology into every day life, are you loving this step up in advancement?
