WINTER SKIN SAVIOURS

The wind and rain has been wreaking total havoc on my skin lately, along with travelling and the ventilation on buses and trains aren’t good so skin can go from both ends of the spectrum of yuckiness, but where do you run to for a winter skin solutions?

There’s where I’m here to help out, you see I actually have the solution all along and since I implemented some changes to my skincare I haven’t had anything since.

So don’t hibernate till spring yet, give these a whirl before you implement Netflix and chill into your system until after Christmas.

DAY TREATMENTS

Clarins Joli Rouge

My first skin care hero to say stop to chapped lips is the latest moisturising lipstick, which is the fantastic Clarins Joli Rouge, it’s rich and creamy formula leaves a plumped supple look, on application in the morning it took till the late afternoon for a fresh up from a 6am start, leaving my lips looking at its pre-winter best. My favourite shade in this has been Spicy Cinnamon, perhaps its the autumn winter vibes getting to me but this is a magnificent colour for all skin tones.

Clinique Custom Smart Repair Eye Cream

Next skin care hero has been the Clinique Custom Smart Repair Eye Cream, I adore the full face version of this but the eye cream targets concerning areas for fine lines and wrinkles. Using this cream gives the impression you’ve drank a ridiculous amount of water and repaired with a major plump up of blemishes. I highly recommend using the Clinique Custom Smart Repair Eye Cream it first thing in the morning after closing the pores as I feel it’s most absorbent of dryness and leaves your under eyes smooth and plumped throughout the day.

NIGHT TREATMENTS

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

Another cold climate go-to is the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil, on the higher end of luxury both price wise and results wise. It’s very rich formula revitalises the skin, with influences from aromatherapy with it’s deeply relaxing scent of Blue Orchid, Patchouli and Rosewood. Despite having combination skin this is the ultimate skin saviour for all skin types as it’s rehydrating properties balance the skin of existing oil levels. I’d highly recommend the Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil at night time or dropping a bit into your night cream as a little certainly goes a long way.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Cream

Lastly I would recommend the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Cream, this technically can be used day or night but my personal preference is using it straight after a bath as I love the texture and makes a good base for other creams to go over the top without seeming too much. It’s a quick absorbing cream so I highly praise how much of a different I see in the suppleness of my skin. I think it’s a great neck cream too as we often forget to look after our neck so there’s plenty in this genius pot to cover any dry patches.

Tell me what you use throughout the chillier months to keep your face at its festive best!
