This collection is very special, as we slowly progress into autumn the dark palettes are re-appearing. So I’m discussing the limited edition collection by Illamasqua inspired by the dark romance of 17th century still-life paintings.

The other hot products in the Vanitas Collection are the matt lipsticks that include Moth, Shard and Wanton. I have both Moth and Wanton as my go-to shades as both my makeup and wardrobe darkens in the autumn. Both lipsticks have incredible staying power and give the impression of a soft but dark romantic look to your application.
Moth is a dark chocolate brown, with it’s matt formula making a bold brown statement it’s not too dark or too light to be like every nude and brown lipstick available. I’ve seen this colour on ladies who are medium to dark and fell in love with the shade, it’s such an elegant shade and perfect for a night time look whether that’s a full night out or going for dinner. This lipstick is hands down one of my favourites of 2016 for it’s overall performance throughout the day.
Wanton has a matt finish with lilac rose hues, this colour intense formula makes me last all day without any signs of budging. It’s very creamy and requires little effort or skill to get the perfect lip, which is wonderful for both artists and messy 5-minute makeovers. To get the most out this lipstick apply with an angled brush for a super sharp cupids bow – dare you to try it as it suits everyone!
They’re all available in your nearest Illamasqua, mine were stocked from The Metquarter in Liverpool, my favourite shopping location for all beauty goodies.
