For autumn, I’ve been seeing an emergence of loose long dresses, in a variety of cuts to suit all shapes. My personal favourite has been the slouchy boyfriend fit shirt. It can be styled up in a grunged up way or minimalistic to connote elegance and sophistication. Whatever your cup of tea in fashion is there’s a great selection available online throughout this season.
From Fashion Week we still see there’s open cold shoulder dresses, I find them incredibly flattering for both day and night as shoulders look fantastic on everyone, so I always advice girls to keep a few key dresses like this in their wardrobe.
Another nifty way of mixing up your daywear dresses is layering them up over t-shirts, long sleeve shirts (especially a bell sleeve if you adore anything bohemian like me!). The thing to remember is that style is a choice and however you like to wear your garments they can be mixed up with coats, scarves for an effortless stylish ensemble.

However cliche lace might be for A/W it’s a trend that sticks year after year, it makes ensembles romantic, beautiful and delicate. I’ve spent years hunting down my idea of the perfect lace and scoping out a few designers this season has found my results being highly successful. Designers like Aijek Tatiana have stunning lace dresses that would suit many an occasion, dinner, cocktails, events it’s so incredibly chic.
Another favourite from the catwalks have been the use of copper and autumnal metallics, ASOS have nailed this look with a deep plunge, accompanied with pleats for a retro midi ensemble. This could be paired up with a pair of simplistic flats or very outgoing strappy heels for an elegant look. From gathering much information about this seasons trends another occurrence is the deep plunge, I’m seeing it everywhere. It’s the ultimate dress for styling up long necklaces and embracing statement jewellery. I’m a huge fan of Zhivago’s power shoulder dress for it’s bold use of silhouette and striking colour.
