The final chapter of one of the biggest whirlwind weekends on my social calendar has come, the third and final day of festival fun, with plenty of glitter and music.
Leeds Festival Highlights Day Three

The day started with a visit down to the Main Stage around midday to see Sundara Karma, after previously seeing the impact they made at Y NOT Festival I was dying to see how they’d resonate with the audience at Leeds Festival. Their red backdrop seen from the forests of the VIP camping and music blaring from across the campsites made it very clear that they were to wake up happy campers and get them in the spirit for the best day ahead.
A short walk to the NME stage where we were plummeted with a Sunset Sons t-shirt, they’re incredible. I saw them at Y NOT Festival and they’re truly a hidden gem that’s going to hit the indie rock scene like a thousands bricks. Keep a watchful eye for them!
We followed up with Slaves, a favourite of mine. Their cheeky London attitudes have you head banging and running round in the mud with a huge grin on your face. The punk duo played their biggest hits like Cheer Up London and Debbie Where’s Your Car? Bringing some of the teen punk spirit to a usually rock orientated festival.
Another day in the fields has us return back to my favourite new addition to the festival that is the Jack Rocks stage situated to the left of the Main Stage. The day brightened up as well as our spirits, as we went to see Bang Bang Romeo a Yorkshire quartet with vocals that shatter you, so potent and pure.
Later the day was followed up with a pastel delight of The Courteeners, in a shadow of colourful dust and flares as the crowd went ape for Lose Control and Not Nineteen Forever – my post teen anthem no matter what age I am.
OUTFIT OF THE DAY
That day I was sporting a cardigan from my own collection at Gap, it’s so soft and slouchy and perfect to throw on to keep you warm but light to not stop you from partying. It was teamed up with one my festival fave playsuits, a halter neck marbled design with a silk interior. It’s backless design is the perfect opportunity to show off a beautiful back on a warmer day.
Naturally as Leeds goes, all ensembles are styled up with a fetching pair of wellies. Rockfish are the best brand to go to for colourful designs, that supply comfort and a level of festie-sopshistication.
Finally the night was tailed off with a bang, the prestigious, almost god-like Red Hot Chilli Peppers were to close the festival. Literally everyone swooped in to take a slice of the action. I’ve never seen such hyped up entrances and incredible skills. It’s one of those bands you can tick off your bucket list fully knowing you experienced it live amongst thousands of people.
Leeds never disappoints, mud or sunshine it’s a weekend you’ll never forget, as you share memories with strangers that you meet up with year after year. I’m already excited to hear who will be playing next year. See you in the fields next August.
