The Sleeves Taking Over The Runway

Bell Sleeves
From the swing of the late 60s to the late 2000’s we’ve seen a dramatic comeback in a large sleeve, complimentary for a romantic dinner, partying it up at a summer festival or layering over a jacket. Bell sleeves are one of my favourite trends to work with, for their nostalgic aura whilst holding all the romanticism of modern day fashion. I’ve paired my floral embroidered crop top with a statement pair of red flares – very #Girlboss. For my trips to festivals and jet setting across the world. Popping a crochet bralette under my crop for a beach luxe look, or layering up with a spaghetti strap dress for the evening. Red has certainly been my colour of late, I’ve been heavily inspired by my trips to Spain to be bold and bright with primary colours, whilst teaming embroidery.

Ruffle Sleeves
Once again, my travels heavily inspire my fashion, as well as my music – so there’s been a lot of 1980’s new romantics in my Spotify playlists. I’m seeing these beautiful Cuban-esque ruffles everywhere lately. The wraparound is perfect for all body shapes, making me feel hoisted in all the places I want to show off. My white floral appliqué wrap shirt is from Miss Pap their selection of shirts is truly magnificent! You’ll naturally see I’ve been hovering over the red embroidered design because of its contemporary twist on this seasons IT shirt.

Lace Sleeves
Being no stranger to a kimono or ten in my wardrobe, lace embroidery has come back with style, in a variety of shades, my favourites being pastel pink and black, it’s incredibly versatile when switching up between summer looks taking you from dinner to dance floor. I’ve always said there’s two pieces in your wardrobe that will see you through everything and that’s statement jackets and shoes. So I’ve found in my experience investing in a delicate and sexy kimono will be packed year after year in your suitcase. I went for a more casual and grunged up ensemble whilst travelling in a slouched statement t-shirt, ripped jeans, metallic boots and let my nude lace kimono be the star of the show in a delicate and outlandish way.
