Summer is coming in thick and fast, so whilst it’s still blowing a blizzard in most parts of the UK, that’s no excuse to not consider your summer wardrobe. So apparently we’re getting a three month heatwave hotter than any weather in 100 years. So whether you’re flying off to luxurious destinations or planning a garden party with friends I’ll be here to walk you through some of my favourite summer dresses for next season. Get your sandals and sunglasses at the ready!
The Floral One Shoulder Dress
Some of my favourite summer dresses have been in a bright green hue, and with this floral print one shoulder dress I can imagine this suiting everyone’s style and shape. This makes my collection due to clashing prints and generic tailoring. Twirl off into a salsa class or evening cocktails in some strappy shoes, and your favourite clutch bag.
The 70’s Smock Dress
As you might be able to tell I’m seriously digging polka dot teamed with florls to juxtaposition varying print. This black floral studded smock dress would be the perfect accompaniment to a festival ensemble, as it has a gorgeous necktie, with a nod to the early 70s trend. Smocks are made me be twirled around in, and what adds to this festival-esque piece is the frill hem. Easily pair this with a pair of hooped earrings, some western ankle boots and a bum bag to send you off into the fields
The Wraparound Dress
It’s inevitable, every woman loves a wrap around dress – it cinches you in as much as you need and I believe is a staple in any woman’s wardrobe. This green stripe frill hem tie dress would beautifully compliment the days where you want to wear something casual, comfortable but maintain the element of style. The green stripe is my ultimate go-to as it has a vintage connotation whilst mixing up a modern cut. Team this with a crossbody and either some smart trainers or heels to dress from day to night.
The Broderie Dress
Bringing another tie waist dress to your attention is this burnt orange red frill sleeve dress in a woven broderie fabric, ideal for a summers day garden party, a formal event or a simple stroll along the beach. It’s striking hue makes it a total winner to conjunction with it’s frill sleeve, bow tie waist and ruffle front. Grab a mini purse, a sun hat and some sandals to make this ensemble beach friendly for summer.
The Cold Shoulder Dress
I’m certainly not sick of seeing cold shoulder dresses in the shops. In fact I feel they’re the perfect compliment to any summer wardrobe. With extra details on this yellow floral print cold shoulder maxi dress like the front button detailing and front split to show off a glimpse of your summer legs this reigns in as one of my favourites of the season. A woven bag, some statement wedges and sophisticated jewellery to turn this outfit into a glamorous summer ensemble.
