LARK LANE JUST GOT BETTER WITH FREIDA MO’S

I had the pleasure of heading down on the opening day where people were bursting to get in, with familiar faces from the art, photography and vintage fashion scene all wanting to see what Sally has been up to over the coming months. Greeted with a doorway of flowers and vintage awnings into a vintage haven, a sanctuary to kick back and enjoy a refreshing afternoon. Sallys attitude towards life will mesmerise you in itself, bringing snippets of her illustrious career under one roof. Me and Paddy tried out their teas and coffees – there was even something for little miss decaf here! With a small sitting arrangement overlooking onto the best parts of Lark Lane, we resided and watched the snow blizzard go by as we were tucked up super cosy and catching up. All I could envision was the delight it’ll be throughout the summer as you sit outside and watch one of the best communities of people go about their day. One aspect I love about Freida Mo’s is it’s dog friendly attitude, with little woofs coming by to say hello – major kudos!

Freida Mo’s provides an insight into the epitome of culture, running the entire place by independence for the independent. So you’ll find as you stroll through Pretty Flamingo Vintage, heaven to those who wish to purchase one-off vintage pieces that are all hand selected bursting from generations of glamour. Sally also includes in her shop handmade pieces, as well as bespoke jewellery design and lifestyle accoutrements. I was seriously eyeing up the rainbow projectors which injected even more colour into a delightfully rainbow and vibrant atmosphere. Freida Mo’s is the kind of one-stop shop, where you can walk out with a vintage dress, a unique record under one arm, a head of memories and a tummy full of flavours. It’s perfect if there were such a word to describe how Freida Mo’s encapsulates. 

So let’s talk Sally and her Girl Boss life. I was very fortunate to have worked with her in a photoshoot utilising Pretty Flamingo. From the moment I met her, I knew this was a woman so effortless about life with a strong backbone for business. She’s dabbled in a variety of mediums from hand painted fashion pieces to food. All that is touched turns to gold under Sallys wing. You’ve no doubt seen the flamingos dotted about at every major summer festival as she travels about in her orange campervan, and she glitters up the world. With residence next to the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury after writing a letter to them in glitter, she knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to use glitter in the process. I’ll be talking more and more with her over the weeks as we get inside the mind of the modern day bohemian Girl Boss. 

So it goes without saying that anyone who steps foot into Freida Mo’s must try the food. Everything is baked fresh from Sallys abode which includes an array of cakes, sandwiches and sweet treats – with many of the options suiting to dietary requirements so it’s definitely a winner for all vegans out there! I however tried the tomato, mozzarella and pesto focaccia, which was super fresh and the most ideal lunch. I’ll definitely be tripping up to Lark Lane for some Freida Mo’s cuisine. With the arise of easter coming up, Freida Mo’s has a bespoke range of easter eggs and chocolates for anyone who requires a unique gifting. I’m very excited to see what Freida Mo’s has to offer during seasonal transitions and almost certain Sally will whip up some delicious treats for Christmas – yes we’re talking about Christmas already. 

So with a small insight into the magical world of Freida Mo’s I wholeheartedly urge everyone to step onto Lark Lane and look for the red and white awning. You’ll never be dissapointed, and prepare for the hours to roll by as you get to know Sally.
