The useful life span of your tyres is six years, and you should never go over 10 years. Keep an eye on the manufacture date, which is located on the sidewall of the tyre – if you’re unaware of how to check this, head to your local garage and get expert advice, as it’s better to be safe than sorry.
When should you change your tyres?
Depth of tread
Always keep an eye on your tread. So a super easy way is to measure the groove depth with a 2 pound coin. The best tip is to see if the edge of the coin is still noticeable, if so it’s time to get some sorted immediately. The legal limit is 1.6mm, but it’s always good to stay aware of your current tread depth every couple of months, just to make sure you’re both safe and legal.
So I’d do a massive amount of research on your tyres. You can find A-one tyres in Stirling only by Fife Autocentre. They’re a fantastic service where you can get your tyres fitted from them and you wont be disappointed!
