The Beatles Story Museum
It would be impossible to talk about things to do in Liverpool without mentioning the Fab Four. This immersive experience is a must for any Beatles fan, but will surely be enjoyed by those wanting to get a feel for the swinging ‘60s in general. As you walk through the exhibit, you will follow the band on their journey, from their humble beginnings to the height of their career, eventual breakup, and John’s tragic death. The museum is home to the largest collection of Beatles merchandise in the world and includes recreations of locations that played a key part in the band’s career such as The Casbah Club, The Cavern Club, and Abbey Road Studios.
Nestled among the many other attractions that can be found on along Albert Docks, Tate Liverpool exhibits both British and international art ranging from the 1500s until the modern period. Designed by award-winning architect James Stirling, Tate Liverpool has blossomed into a key player in the city’s creative culture and has recently featured exhibitions from Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol.

Yet another unmissable attraction for music fans, if The Beatles Story museum didn’t quench your Beatlemania, then a trip to this iconic club certainly will. Despite not being the original venue, The Cavern Club is filled to the brim with Beatles memorabilia and hosts bands daily. Although the Fab Four will be the reason why most tourists head here, other famous names that have graced the club include The Hollies, The Kinks, and The Rolling Stone.
Without a doubt the most-photographed location in Liverpool, Albert Dock is worth a visit for its beauty alone. The 163-year old dock is a World Heritage site and home to many of the city’s top attractions, including Tate Liverpool.
