[dropcap]A[/dropcap] trip to Paris isn’t just excellent for couples looking for a romantic weekend away. There are also plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy their time there, too. Steeped in culture, history, and fashion, Paris is a superb destination for families whether the kids are young, teenagers, or older.

Like anywhere, you need to bring the proper clothes and accessories to navigate Paris like a true Parisian. Depending on the time of year, you’ll need to take appropriate clothing, but make sure to take a raincoat regardless of the time of year.

You’ll also need to bring enough money to enjoy the city and its activities for as long as you’re there without needing to withdraw cash and incur fees. France uses Euros, so you should be able to get these at a decent rate from anywhere.

It’s also essential to bring with you any insurance details and medication just in case something goes wrong. You might not be able to get prescription medicine abroad, so this is crucial.

What to Bring

Where to Stay

Researching the best family friendly hotels Paris will get you the best deals. You can decide whether you want to go all-inclusive, semi-inclusive, or rely on food and drink yourself. There are hundreds of fantastic hotels all across Paris that are convenient, close to the Metro lines, and offer superb views of the city.

You don’t need telling that Paris offers a wide variety of things to do, including Disneyland Paris, the Eiffel Tower, and The Arc de Triomphe. However, there’s more to Paris than rollercoasters and monuments.

Take a stroll around the gorgeous Montmartre neighbourhood with its cobblestone streets and carousels. For the little ones not happy with walking, you can take a tour train around the area too and give yourself a break. There are also cute cafes and ice cream shops to pop your head in and try out, while Sacre Coeur cathedral is another highlight.

If the weather is nice, then spending an afternoon in the Jardin du Luxembourg. It has an exciting playground for the kids, while you and your partner can roll out the picnic mat and relax.

For entertainment, there are puppet shows on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 2 PM, and you can also model sailboats available to rent and steer around the pond. Animal lovers will also enjoy the Jardin des Plantes which boasts 11 gardens and a zoo!

As for something classically French, the Latin Quarter has a host of creperies for both lunch, dinner, and pudding. The famous Chocolat Chaud (hot chocolate) is also available at Angelina Paris to help you warm up on a chilly day.

Finally, the family can take a boat ride along the Seine that will give you a scope of the city and see it from a different perspective. So much is made of seeing Paris from up high, but at river level, the views are just as stunning.

What to Do

Oui, Oui!

Paris is one of the biggest and best cities in the world, and with it being so close to the UK, you should take the chance to see it as soon as you can.
