Great Divide Mountain Bike Route in Canada, USA

This next destination is nearly the opposite of the first one. It’s for cyclists who want to pit their skills and endurance against one of nature’s most challenging trails and terrains.

The Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, dubbed the holy grail of the mountain-bike world, extends from Jasper, Alberta, in Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico, in the USA. The 4,418-kilometer-long off-road route can take up to six to ten weeks to complete. Ninety percent of the trails and roads are unpaved, which will need basic off-pavement skills to navigate without injury.

According to outdoor advocate Nate Mitka of GearJunkie, completing the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route “serves as a crowning achievement for adventure cyclists everywhere.”

Along the Gulf of Genoa in the province of Savona in Italy is the picturesque town of Finale Ligure. The small seaside resort is steeped in history, culture, and gastronomic creations.

If you’re looking for an elevated cycling holiday experience, Finale Ligure is the perfect destination for you. Explore the historic village of Finalborgo on your bike. There, you can find a charming rural landscape with old buildings, cobbled pedestrian pathways with arches, balconies with flowers and shrubs, and friendly farmers selling their fresh produce.
