This summer has seen a rise of rule breaking, this isn’t your average ‘groundbreaking florals’ from Devil Wears Prada, we have however been seeing bohemian dresses coming back into the vision of designers, and high street shops. As well as power-dressing for your ultimate #Girlboss ensemble.
So today I’ll be walking you through a couple of my favourites I’ve spotted on Kis – an online retailer that host a huge variety of dress styles and colours to fit all.
I personally believe everyone suits the bohemian dress, it’s a safe option for sporting on a trip to the beach, festival attire and even to a wedding. With the cut being generally baggy, balloon or bell sleeved it’s incredibly complimentary when you want to wear a statement piece with patterns whilst still having a relaxed laid back vibe.
It’s always good to experiment with, and with some simple accessories you can live your hippy-chic fashion fantasies. I’m absolutely loving this Kis yellow bohemian dress, that is both simple, beautiful and classic.

The Formal Dress
Not that we’re wearing many of them lately during this pandemic, however it’s always good to have one at hand for dressed up occasions in your office, a date night dinner where you want to look smart and sophisticated. If you’re new to buying formal dresses, I’d vouch for an A-line mid length dress as that can carry you through from day to night with a quick switch round of accessories and shoes like this navy blue formal dress
Even the most embellished formal dresses can be pulled off as formal, meaning they’re a versatile piece for interchanging.
Top tip: Try a colourful formal dress with unique patterning to juxtaposition the classic little black dress that everyone owns.
Let me know over on Instagram what your favourite style of dress is, and what you always reach for throughout the summer, are you more Bohemian, or do you prefer a formal dress?
