Stop touching your face!
OK, so what with the pandemic and everything, we have some great practice on this one. However, even after the COVID restrictions are lifted it is important to keep up with the habit of limiting the number of times we touch our face.
This is because, each time we bring our hands to our face we don’t only risk transmitting viruses, but also bacteria that can cause nasty breakouts, and mean that we are left with scars and wrinkles.
Of course, we can often touch our faces without realising it. Although, there are now products available like ‘spot dots’ which not only help clean a breakout area but also provide a barrier to prevent us from touching the spot and making it worse too!
Supplements
As your skin is an organ just like your heart or lungs, what you eat and drink will affect how healthy it is. However, it is possible to give your skin an extra boost by adding certain supplements into your diet.
One in particular that can do a lot of good for your skin is collagen. Collagen is helpful to skin health because it is a type of protein that keeps the skin plump, and stops sagging. The good news is there are several ways you can take this protein for skin health including collagen powder, and collagen capsules. Something that means you should be able to find a way to take this supplement that suits your needs.
Another popular skin supplement is Chlorophyll. Yes, that right stuff in plants makes plants look green. Don’t panic though because it won’t make your skin change colour, instead, it will help brighten and hydrate it. In fact, the only green is likely to come from other people as they will be filled with envy when they see how glowing your skin looks.
Many people take a shot of chlorophyll liquid in the smoothies every morning. But it is also available in capsules or by upping your intake of green veg too!
Cut down on the exfoliation!
Exfoliation is a big deal in the Skin industry. Indeed, you will find hundreds of products that can be used to exfoliate your face sloughing off old dead skin and revealing the brighter new skin underneath.
The problem is that exfoliation can often end up being too much of a good thing. Indeed, using exfoliation products daily can do more harm than good, damaging skin, and preventing it from being able to adequately repair itself. With that in mind, a weekly exfoliation is a much better idea, as you get glowing skin without the damage.
