What to expect from a deep house cleaning
Sometimes, you just can’t get your house clean no matter how hard you try. There’s always some dust left, or some mould in a place you just can’t reach. When that happens, you can always opt for a deep house cleaning services.
Are services worth it?
Deep house cleaning services provide you with a really in-depth cleaning service. Professional cleaners will have a deep house cleaning checklist of stuff to do that includes the basic cleaning tasks and regular cleaning tasks as well as the extra, more detailed tasks to help you really reset your home or to clean your office. There’s nothing better than a fresh start. You can use a cleaning service to deep clean your entire home as an occasional service instead of a weekly one, to help with the spring cleaning or to remove deep grime that has set around your home over time.
A deep house cleaning is especially useful when you feel like you’ve hit a slump, or when you’re just struggling to keep on top of everything. They work to remove grime and gunk instead of just tidying. They can be really useful for tenants about to get inspections or for people who are about to move house.
What’s included in a deep house cleaning service?
If you’re looking at getting a deep clean done in your home, you’ll want to know what is on the cleaning service’s deep cleaning house checklist. Every company is different, but this is what a deep cleaning service from Cleanup Team will involve:
A bathroom deep clean
A deep clean will usually involve a professional house cleaning team working a little longer in order to:
- Scrub floors
- Clean the grout
- Clean shower head to remove soap scum
- Empty and sanitise trash cans
- Clean the sink and any accessories (i.e., your soap dish)
- Dust baseboards
- Clean mirrors

If you’re unsure whether your chosen cleaning company covers everything you want doing (perhaps you can’t tell whether they are going to be unclogging drains or not, for example) it is always worth messaging them!

How long will a house cleaning take?
This really depends on the cleaning services you are receiving and on the cleaning company that you use. Some cleaning services with more members of staff will be able to do a whole house cleaning in a couple of hours.
Generally speaking, though, a two-bedroom house will take an average cleaning service around 7 hours to deep clean. You can add or subtract hours per bedroom to get a rough estimate or you can contact your cleaning company to ask them for their opinion as a professional cleaning service.
What about the outside of my house?
This is another matter altogether and there are often not many companies that provide a one stop shop for all of the services you might need to clean the outside of your home. Right Wash appears to cover everything from the roof down so companies do exist for this but it would need to be with another contractor other than the house cleaning company.
How do I prepare for a deep house cleaning?
You obviously don’t need to do any cleaning before your deep cleaning. Well, not really. You should make sure that you have decluttered before your deep cleaning, giving your cleaners enough space to actually work their magic. Likewise, you should have washed any dishes and put them away to ensure that they are able to properly clean your kitchen (unless they specify that they do pan washing as part of their services). You will also need to communicate effectively with them to make sure that you’re all on the same page. This will help to make sure that anything you need cleaning is put as a priority on their list, and anything that’s off limits will be avoided.
You will also, on the day, want to put your pets and anything fragile away. The pets will be better off either at a daycare, at a friends, or out with you for the day. This will stop them from getting irritated by any of the cleaning products and will keep them out of the way. Place any fragile items somewhere safe, perhaps wrapped in bubble wrap to keep them extra safe.
