From Day to Night: Quick Outfit Transformations for Busy Individuals
Most working women have probably experienced running late to a night out with the girls due to having to change out of their work attire. If you’ve had your fair share of this issue, have you ever considered making a few quick tweaks to your work clothes to make them “night on the town ready?” It is entirely possible and incredibly simple. Read on for some tips and tricks.
Replace the Work Slacks with a Pair of Jeans
If you’re working, you more than likely have to dress professionally every day. Most workplace tops already look very nice, so why not pair them with a cute pair of jeans? A work blazer would look great with jeans, and your favorite women’s boutique clothing store will have blazers in stock. Those old faithful jeans will make your butt look great, and not having to change the whole outfit will save you some time.
Add Some Cute Accessories
If you regularly wear dresses to work, a few cute accessories make transforming for a night out a breeze. A lovely handbag, sophisticated pair of shoes, or brilliant jewelry can turn an outfit from office to nightclub.
Pair a Work Skirt with a Funky Top
Even a chic librarian pencil skirt can look good with a fun, loud top to go with it. Go from filing to prowling with a quick top change after work. You can try vibrant colors, wild prints, or anything you want. Let your creativity shine through.
Combat Boots or Doc Martens with Dresses
This tip is a look that I use a lot. It couldn’t be paired with office-type dresses, though. I would only suggest this if your workplace allows you to wear more casual dresses. When you get home from work, slide on your Docs or boots, and you’ll look like a hot grunge girl circa the 90s.
Tights Under the Dress
Here is another 90s grunge trend that I swear by. This one may even work for some office-setting dresses as well. All you have to do is slide on a pair of tights under your work dress, and you are ready to have a good time. You can even get creative and pull out the tights or leggings that have cool designs.
These are just a few ways to make changing from work to play a little easier on you. You may even have some tricks of your own. Whatever you choose to do, remember that it is all about having fun and unleashing your creativity.
