Bhrigu Lake Trek: –

The trek offers awe-inspiring views of seven sisters, Hanuman Tibba, and the pristine village. The beauty of this oval-shaped lake lays in its color variation with every season. The lake wears a blue tinge and completely turns into a blue lagoon in the summers. The summer months of May and June offer a chance to see the lake decked up with flowers on its sides. This “Pool of Gods”, rests at a promising height of 14,000 ft above sea level.

While, the trek begins from one of the gorgeous hill stations, Manali, and is located in the Kullu district of the Himachal Pradesh, this trek has an easy to moderate difficulty level, with duration of 3-4 days, covering a distance of 25 km, and can be best done from Mid-May till Mid-October.

The lake witnesses the mesmerizing view of the Pir-Panjal range and Dhauladhar range. The autumn and summer months witness a formation of emerald-green and blue ice rings, within the lake.

The locals believe that the lake never freezes completely as Maharishi or Sage Bhrigu once meditated here. The legend further conveys that he tried to commit suicide but was prevented by the mother River. Har Ki Dun Trek:

Har Ki Dun (3,556 m.) is a 3000-year-old cradle-shaped valley is located in the Garhwal region at the base of Fateh Parvat.

The trek cherishes with rich fauna like Langurs, wild boars, etc., and a cluster of pine and rhododendron trees encompasses the major flora in the region.

It offers a panoramic view of Swargarohini, Kalang, Bandarpunch and many other glacier and mesmerizing peaks. This ancient and spiritual trek was once walked upon by the Pandavas on their way to heaven, making this trek one of the highly opted treks in the Garhwal Himalayas.

Har Ki Dun trek requires 7 days and comes to life from April till November except for the peak monsoon months from June till August. The trek is moderate to difficult with a distance of 44 km and the best time to visit is in summer and autumn season.

The trek takes you on a cultural tour of preserved villages like Taluka, Saud, Seema, and Oslo. These villages will make you learn the ancient ways of doing things and how people are still attached to their root. Roopkund Trek:

Roopkund Trek is the best pick to beat the heat of the summer. The trek has it all from a mysterious skeletal lake to the vast bugyals/meadows.

The trek is at a staggering altitude of 15,700 ft. and raises its bar of difficulty with a distance of 53 Km.  The trek is one of the best summer treks in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.

It takes 8 days to reach the beautiful glacial lake and the famous and beautiful campsites throughout the journey include, Ghairoli Patal, Bhagwabasa, and Junargali. Enjoy this trek with the beautiful views of the Chaukhamba range and the Kedarnath peaks. One can also enjoy the view of Mt. Nanda Ghunt and Mt. Trishul.

The prominent highlight of this trek is the glacial lake, which is mysteriously filled with skeletons. The lake unravels after the winters and the curiosity to see it has attracted many trekking lovers. The enticing beauty cherishes in the form of alpine meadows of Ali and bedni bugyal and the vibrant flower covering the meadows is the site to behold and capture. Chopta Chandrashila Trek

 

The Chopta Chandrashilla trek, blessed with a climate full of the calming aura has majestic peaks that you can witness like the Nanda Devi peak, Chaukhamba peak, Mt. Trishul, and many others.

You can explore dense forests on the way to this trek with exotic trees like rhododendron. The Chandrashilla summit opens up to a breathtaking view of Himalayan peaks. Chopta rests at 2,680 meters, in Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and is a base camp for Tungnath temple trek also.

The trek is a perfect spot for bird watching and you can catch the sight of Uttarakhand state bird, the Himalayan Monal, if you are lucky. The trek homes to some of the rare yet fascinating Himalayan species, Pika Mouse and Musk deer.

You can even trek to a spellbinding lake, Deorital trek. The trek extends till 4 days at an altitude of 13,500 ft. and covers 13 Km. The trek comes under the easy level and closes in the monsoon season. The best time to visit the trek is in winters and early summers.

Rupin Pass Trek:

Rupin pass is one of the most beautiful cross over trek in the Himalayas. The trek starts from Dhaula in Uttarakhand and ends at Sangla in Himachal Pradesh, the highlight of the trek as it connects two states.  The trek observes a whole transformation in the scenery as you trek. From vast green meadows to waterfalls to snow covered campsites with majestic snow capped mountain peaks ahead of you to bless you with the enchanting views that this trek has to offer. The trek shows you, Rupin waterfall, secluded hamlets like bawta, and the famous hanging village at Jhaka.

 The trek has it all in one palette from changing terrains to habitations and famous religious sites. Rupin Pass (15250 ft), requires 7-8 days, covers 52 Km, and is a difficult trek suitable for regular trekkers.

The hike through the woodlands will take you to an awe-inspiring view of the Kailash Peak and the Dhaulandar mountain ranges. Through the trek route, you will come across a two-storied temple of Kinnauri culture; this serene place at Sewa is the Poku Dewta Temple.

You can catch the view of the valley and Rupin waterfall from the Suruwas Thatch campsite. The trek trails along the Rupin River with vast meadows throughout the trail mostly. The best time for visiting the trek is in summers from Mid May to Mid June only and post-monsoon from Mid September to Mid October only. While it gains more attraction during the summers as it experiences pleasant climatic conditions with snow all around you in the peak summer months.
