Is Natural Beauty Becoming Non-Existent?

Beauty standards are constantly changing. The natural beauty movement is definitely strong – yet half of the people you see on social media have had little tweaks here and there. That’s still classed as natural, right? We’d argue yes, as long as the finish is natural. But some people would argue this is why natural beauty is becoming non-existent.

Below, we’ll discuss whether natural beauty is becoming non-existent.

Understated Enhancement

Beauty has never been about conformity – today, less so than ever. People are now opting for understated enhancements that work with what they have rather than against it in pursuit of some heavily photoshopped ideal.

To be precise, treatments make subtle improvements to looks that could pass off as a natural appearance. These treatments may include a thread face lift, dermal fillers, or microblading, leaving you looking refreshed and younger without anyone noticing what exactly you did to yourself. What matters most is looking like your improved edition, not a fake edition.

Natural Looking Beauty Treatments

Using natural-looking treatments has become one of the most prominent trends in the beauty industry. These procedures are designed to improve our natural appearance in a way that is hardly noticeable.

Thread Facelifts

This non-invasive treatment uses dissolvable threads to lift and tighten the skin. The process gives a subtle lifting effect, making the face look younger without surgery.

Dermal Fillers

Another common procedure is dermal fillers. Unlike traditional fillers, which can give an unnatural look, new-generation products work by adding volume back into areas where it has been lost, following the natural contours of the face. Common areas for filler are the lips, cheeks, and jawlines, leaving you looking refreshed and rejuvenated.

Microneedling

Microneedling is more organic. It is a minimally invasive procedure in which small needles are used to produce controlled micro-injuries on the skin. This triggers the healing mechanism of the body by making it generate more collagen and elastin. Eventually, what happens is that skin becomes smooth, tight, and uniformly toned, giving it all a natural look and feel to touch.

Loving Uniqueness

Beauty standards aren’t always positive, especially on social media. But one thing we’re loving is people celebrating individuality.

Instead of striving towards an ideal look, people now try finding unique qualities within themselves be it different skin tones, textures, preferences, etc.

The industry has become more diverse and inclusive regarding packaging, branding models, employed marketing campaigns, messaging, etc, as companies realise that there are many ways people can express beauty in themselves.

This inclusiveness allows individuals to be comfortable with who they really are, irrespective of whether they truly think it themselves. Again, even though social media can be a catalyst for insecurities, there’s a movement to embrace everyone!

Everyone should feel empowered enough to be proud of being themselves even without any modifications – but we’re not saying modifications are bad. Natural treatments can give you the essential boost you need. The issue is that people are taking it too far and moving away from natural beauty.
