Escape to the Mediterranean with Masons’ Ibiza-Style Sundown Sessions in Liverpool

On September 29th, Liverpool’s city centre will welcome a taste of the Balearics and beat the winter blues with the first-ever “Ibiza style Sundown Sessions” at Masons, a popular venue on Seel Street.

Sundays at Masons are sure to be remembered, whether you choose to savour a traditional Sunday roast from Masons or a variety of delectable dishes from the recently added Tapas small plates menu. Masons has made Sundays the new fundays with a fantastic selection of cocktails, jugs of Sangria, sunsets on giant screens, and a laid-back Ibiza soundtrack accompanied by DJs and live entertainment.

Visitors can choose between a delicious Sunday Roast, which is a speciality of Masons (2 courses for £21.95 or 3 courses for £26.35), or they can relax with a selection of exquisite Tapas paired with sangria or cocktails. Pick from a wide variety of tapas (3 for £17 or 4 for £20) and pay just £15.00 for two cocktails from the house signature cocktail menu. Sundays at Masons are a laid-back jazz and live music fest. For £39 per person, roasts can be upgraded to include “Bottomless” selected drinks with one main course.

The exquisite Tapas menu has been thoughtfully selected to feature all of the traditional Mediterranean favourites, such as Albondiagas y Chamionones (meatballs in a rich mushroom sauce) and Gambas Al Ljillo (prawn pil pil with chilli and garlic with dipping bread). Albondiagas y Chamionones (Meatballs in a rich mushroom gravy) and Patatas Bravas (Crispy potato topped with marinara and aioli).

The Masons Roast offers a choice of Herb Butter Roasted Chicken Supreme, Gammon, Roast Topside of Beef or Italian Herb Roasted Butternut Squash Steak all served with a selection of seasonal roasted vegetables, greens, Yorkshire puddings and extra gravy.

Sundown Sessions  themed cocktails are available at £8.50 each or enjoy 2 for £15.  Choose from a High-Biza, Mambo Sunset, O Peach, ‘Biza Blues, Pink Floyd, Pikes or an Old Town Mojito, or enjoy a selection of Jugs of Sangria for £22 each.

Sundown Sessions begins at 2pm and runs until 10pm and the launch date (Sunday 29th September) sees Ibiza DJ Tom Taylor on the decks, with the legendary Jonny Crane on Sax, as well as Masons residents keys play Jack Hymers.

Masons Creative Manager, Craig Cavanagh said “We want people to come to Masons for great food, great drinks, first class entertainment and know that whatever the winter months throw at us, the sun will always shine on Sundays at Masons and a good time is guaranteed”.

Whether you want to relax and dine or dance on a Sunday ‘Ibiza Sundown Sessions’ will transport you to a Mediterranean haven where you can while away the hours, unwind and enjoy sunshine Sundays every week!
