Stunning Sydney! – What’s Happening There
Travelling and being able to see parts of the world different and far from our own, is an experience we should be thankful to have. Sydney is a place brimming with activities, sights to see, and things to experience. Let’s sift through a few of the different places you should visit here, and talk about what to expect, and why Sydney should be on top of your holiday travel list!
- Harbour Helicopter Ride – What a way to start your Sydney experience! If you love heights, beautiful panoramic views, and that adrenaline kick you get from being up so high, this is what you need to do. An amazing way to experience one of the most beautiful harbours in the world, a Sydney Harbour helicopter tour is sure to live up to all your expectations, and then some! The unique views and perspectives you get, along with some amazing photos that will last a lifetime, make this an amazing way to see what’s happening down below, from above.
- The Rocks – Doesn’t sound too exciting, but it is definitely worth a visit. Head to this area near Circular Quay, and be greeted by stunning old buildings, quaint cobblestone streets, and markets galore. With that being said, The Rocks Markets are the place to be on the weekends, with stalls offering all the goods you could want, from arts and crafts, to great food and souvenirs to take home as a memento of this great trip. Have a read of this blog for more travel information.
- Royal Botanic Garden – Is there anything this city doesn’t have? If you just want a relaxing stroll, away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a morning or afternoon, take a look at this place. Nicely located next to the Opera House (two birds, one stone and all that), you can unwind and take it easy breezy with a lazy walk around. Another attraction within the Botanic Garden, is Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, which is a sandstone rock carved into a bench, and some of the best views of the harbour to boot.
- Blue Mountains Day Trip – If you fancy a trip out for the day, a little mosey over to the Blue Mountains is highly recommended. There are a few attractions there to keep you busy and entertained for the day, two of which being the Three Sister rock formation, and the Scenic World, which offers a cable car ride (hope you like heights) with some breath-taking views.
- Manly Beach – Now, everyone knows of Bondi Beach in Sydney, but Manly Beach is a great spot to go and visit while you’re in the city. Just jump on a ferry, and take a short ride from Circular Quay, and enter a world with a relaxed vibe, scenic walks, and beachside cafes to quench your thirst, and fill that hole in your stomach. Even the ferry ride over offers some great views of the city skyline and harbour!
