SNUGGLE UP FOR AUTUMN NIGHTS

SNUGGLE UP FOR AUTUMN NIGHTS

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e can pretty much throw the towel in and say summer has drawn to a close sadly. Those warm summer nights sitting outside with ice chilled drinks and picnic blankets. Well thankfully the fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down quicker. I’ve promised myself to make the most of my autumns by spending it with my friends, having cosey nights in watching movies as we all get excited for Christmas. I generally have a tradition of binge watching one show, previously it was Friends, Breaking Bad, Girlboss… the list goes on! But this year I’m still undecided (please do throw me some autumn recommendations!). But more importantly I wanted to talk through some of my tips for keeping the autumn winter blues away.

Yummy Snacks

Everything in moderation of course, it’s not quite time for the Christmas buffets and the New Year promises to start flying out. But I’ve really got into snacking foods lately. One of my favourites is the Aero Heavenly Chocolate Mousse. For those of you have tried it, it will knock off any thoughts you have of ice cream or cake in the winter. I think it’s come from my love of chocolate mousse as a kid, I haven’t had it for years and now I am simply obsessed! Like most women I adore chocolate, but I’m one of those who can’t handle too much. So I generally have nibbles and savoury snacks whilst I’m curled up on the sofa with the boyfriend and el catto! I highly recommend trying out the Salted Caramel and Milk Chocolate. I’ve heard so many people rave about this incredible snack, and now I get the hype, me and Paddy have pretty much made up our minds on every Friday & Saturday. Netflix, Salted Caramel Mousse and blankets!

Invite Your Friends Around

I’ve noticed that more gigs start to come out throughout autumn/winter (which makes perfect sense) party throughout the summer at festivals, and party in large crowds to keep warm in the chilly. But outside of that, I generally don’t head into town except for shopping, restaurant meals and call it a night very early unless I get dragged into the famous christmas tree Bar Hutte for a Gin Toddy. So with nights out being in short supply, get the blankets out the spare room, bring out the board games, pop some snacks on the table and take your night out into a night in. I recently discovered that if you type in Spinner into Google and select Number you’ve got the most perfect drinking game for your pals. Obviously once again in moderation. Being the hostess with the mostess for the evening will give a splash of diversity to your social calendar whilst allowing you to kick off the heels and kick back.
