The sun has been beaming, I even spotted a pair of shorts or two, I know it’s only early April but the weather has been strangely pleasant, even the smog somehow. I’ve been in my favourite dress, something I can see myself styling for some time. Everyone knows this Topshop dress and if you’re not aware go ahead and familiarise yourself, I saw Alexa Chung wear something similar and had to have one vintage or not. I love the D-Ring making the waist adjustable or you can do away with it and have a loose fit shirt dress, the colour of denim is my favourite, that gorgeous mid-blue hue.
You’ll notice a new addition, frankly it’s not that new, and not quite mine either. This is my boyfriends pride and joy, only few were sold, 100 as I am aware, and frequently is featured in Arctic Monkeys videos so therefore his cherished piece that I borrow from time to time, it’s embroidered onto polyester in tribute of Kenneth Anger’s 1972 Masterpiece Lucifer Rising.
My inner traveller has sported a backpack, Primarks range has been my calling, their backpacks are going to see my through til next year and perhaps the year after, this cream leather one has so many compartments and is so useful in my daily life that a revolution of backpack nostalgia might take over this site for some time, priced at around £10 I don’t see why you shouldn’t be heading down and picking up one for yourself pronto.
I’m a big fan of all that look similar to a chunky brogue, nothing appeals to me more than the thought of smart and bold shoes, it’s the Stephi trademark and my go to for a night out when I don’t have heels. These are from Very, I’ve seen lots of gold detailing lately, the pointy toe on winklepickers or the heel on platforms, these utilise that trend that makes these shoes look a bit more interesting and catch the eye, the price is reasonable but the quality is nothing like I’ve seen before, the sole will probably last me years! Very do a variety of shoes, check them all out here!
I’ve cracked out my favourite RayBans, I got these from the Sunglasses Shop, you cannot beat how classic they look! They’re one of the few pairs of sunglasses I’m monumentally proud that I own, the iconography behind them in both popular culture, throughout movies, and music make them to die for, and I’m so grateful I’ve owned them for some time. I really recommend looking into the Sunglasses Shop’s collection, their range covers a lot of designers for a very competitive price to some retailers!
