Thanks to new research by Skiddle, we now have cold, hard UK live music gig data for 2025 confirming which cities aren’t just vibing, but absolutely thriving when it comes to live music.
Brighton takes the crown as the UK’s best place for live music, boasting music venues per capita in the country, with 40 per 100,000 people, and 117 upcoming music events per 100,000.
Cambridge follows closely, hosting 360 gigs per 100,000 people, the highest event-per-capita figure across the UK. Salford surprisingly has the highest density of venues at 42.59 per 100,000 but fewer events.
