Tips Travelling in Majorca
When arriving at Palma Airport, take a short taxi into town to explore, drop off your suitcases inside the secure Train Station at Lock And Go, so you can stroll round with your arms free.
Explore the old town of Palma, where the side streets find the best cafes, restaurant, the tastiest Sangria you’ll ever try, as well as a huge selection of famous Gelatti

Palma
Restaurants To Try in Palma
La Taperia -tucked behind the Cathedral in a road thats similar to the James Bond bike chase is an adorable authentic restaurant, with ratings of the best Tapas on the island. Which was incredible true – I would highly recommend the fresh bread with olive oil and garlic mayonnaise, selection of spanish cheese with a fruity spicy chutney, patatas bravas, cured iberian meats, chorizo al vino (the red wine sauce will make anyone swoon!) as well as croquette of stockfish. Finish off your stay with Tiramisu, they also cater to lactose intolerant with a lemon sorbet which was zingy and refreshing. This was my favourite restaurant in all of Palma for its attention to detail, wonderful drinks and cool effortless atmosphere, a complete must!
Mari-Lin Restaurante Cafe Lounge in Palma de Mallorca was absolute bliss I tried out their sangria, which was so fruity and perfectly made. They have a selection of breads, pizzas, pastas and classic Majorcan burgers to try out, thats packed with delicious salad.
Forn De Sant Joan do a selection of Tapas in a fine dining setting surrounded by abstract pieces of art just on the ocean front, with fried squid, cannelloni and kangaroo highly recommended.

Puerto Pollenca
The Best Food in Puerto Pollenca
Portofino – We booked a table in the courtyard which stretches onto the back of a bar crawl I almost got trapped into, surrounded by refreshing gins, olives and tasty breads. Portofino is renowned for it’s ravioli, pizzas and stuffed pastas. The other unique selling point is the beautiful restaurant itself, with some of the most inexpensive but locally sourced wine around.
Kashmir was an impulsive find, for any curry lover there’s a great selection of Tandori, Carne & seafood bhunas as well as delicious desserts situated on the market edge where lots of performance are available as well as the fabulous cuisine of the market.
Maxims Deli was another great find next to Kashmir and renowned for its fresh salads, toasted baguettes and selection of freshly made cakes. They also have a restaurant next door where a wild mushroom risotto was the highlight of my day.
Al Fresco Deli – we got a takeaway as we wanted to kick back on our balcony, with the best delivery service within 20 minutes of ordering it was outside. I highly recommend the Al Fresco Panini, Thai Chicken Panini and Al Fresco pizza. Super fresh food from a fantastic delicassecan who do delicious preserves home made and local wine.
Bella Roma – Under a cascade of purple flora lies Bella Roma, a stroll away from the beach is a restaurant so beautifully pictured that hosts the best pizzas in town. Dinner and a view – what more can you ask for?
Where To Stay
Support your local residents, as hotels get mega busy it’s best to find a verified apartment through Airbnb like I always stay. We found a super cute and modern apartment accompanying a pool, surrounded by pastel pink houses and palm trees. It was total bliss waking up in the RBG apartments to chirping birds and being a stones throw away from the luxurious part of the beach. Check out where I stayed in Pollenca.
Things To Do In Puerto Pollenca
Take a glass-bottomed boat to Formentor Beach – Look down into cuttefish, squid – it’s one of Majorcas best beaches and if you fancy missing the boat and spending more time on the beach it’s only a 20 minute drive back.
Order seafood in the marina – it’s surprisingly in-expensive for food in the marina, at around €30 per head including wine. Perfect for evening seafood whilst watching the sun go down.
Fiesta of Mare de Deu dels Angels – The week-long fiesta culminates with a full-scale re-enactment of the battle of 1561 where the Christians of Pollensa fought off the Moors. It’s a huge firework display on the beach to not be missed.
