You can’t fake confidence, no matter what people tell you, and you will find that trying to do so only means you lose respect in yourself. This is ironic, because the way to genuinely feel more confident in yourself is to make sure that you show yourself as much respect as you can. Respecting yourself in this way is something which is always going to be important if you want to feel confident, and it is something that is going to lead to a better general mental health too. It’s a simple case of making sure that you appreciate you are just an individual person, and that you have feelings like anyone else – but you are still worthy of self-love. The more you appreciate that, the better.
Often what gets in the way of your own natural confidence is that voice in your head that says you are not good enough and so on. Everyone has their own version of this negative voice, and it is something that can cause real damage if you are not careful. You need to try and do whatever you can to keep it quiet, and if you can do that effectively then you are going to find that your confidence will skyrocket in no time at all. Of course, it might take some time to do this, especially if you are used to hearing that voice a lot of the time. But it is worth trying to do, and you will find that it leads to a much better sense of yourself in no time.
