Ladies Who Lunch
For years I’ve been 100% on girls getting together to admire art and culture in their local towns and cities. As a nation we focus a lot of our time on the bigger brands, corporations and there’s a loss of independent design and artistic acknowledgement in regional modern day. Through support and for the sake of fun Ladies Lunch by Laura Doyle was created to showcase local talent, local MUA’s, all over prosecco and good conversation.
The idea of fizz, fashion and fun is a new concept that’s been storming the north of the UK and trickling down south in this hybrid of fine ladies to indulge in new fashion.
Ria McKelvey
The catwalks saw the designs of Coco & Veve by Ria McKelvey with teal lace maxis and embellished shoulders using a colour scheme of black and gold, the hot new colours for late summer.
Jake Phillip Nuttall
Jake Phillip Nuttalls take on glamourous party wear is inspiring through its use of fringing, elegantly draped sequins and sparkles as well as striped gold bodices. His work is sending us back to the 70s and 80s with ruffles and flared trousers. A designer after my own heart.
Paulinah Nkechinyere Eboh-Sampson
Dolls of Dedadence designed by Paulinah Nkechinyere Eboh-Sampson has inspirations of classic Hollywood cuts and silhouettes in pale gold and pearlescent hues. Making the pieces look both art-deco with it’s mix of textures.
Wongs Jewellers
Wongs Jewellers supplied their diamond and pearl collection, shown both on the models and on display throughout Ladies Lunch, with a modern twist on old connotations of pearls giving it a 2017 boost of sophistication.
My Liverpool Life’s’ 6th ‘Ladies who Lunch Fashion & Networking Event is to be hosted on the 16th June in Formby Hall, previous venues have included Double Tree Hilton, Hope Street Hotel, The Racquet Club Hotel, Titanic and The West Tower.
